  • WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?

    First of all, it’s important to understand what the procedure is and what it does to refresh your appearance. A benefits of microdermabrasion treatment gently removes the dull top layer of skin to reveal the fresh, younger-looking skin underneath.


    It does this with a minimally abrasive device that scrubs your skin with very fine crystals, gently buffing the skin’s damaged top layer. As it does this, the device also purges the crystals and the dead skin cells that have built up. Microdermabrasion benefits allow the underlying layer of new skin to grow; it also sparks the production of collagen, restoring smoothness and firmness to your skin.


    The overall result is a noticeably rejuvenated appearance.

    A microdermabrasion treatment exfoliates your skin by sloughing off the top layer of dull, lifeless, and/or flaking skin, which in turn ramps up collagen production.

    You can notice the brighter, more radiant impact on your appearance within a few days of a session. However, to get the longer-lasting benefits that many patients enjoy, it’s common to have between 5 and 10 treatments.


    For example, a typical plan starts with two sessions per month for the first 2-3 months and then touch-up treatments every 1-2 months to maintain and prolong the desired effects. With this type of plan, the results improve even more over time, allowing you to enjoy fresher skin and a more youthful appearance.


    This may sound alarming, but most people are so relaxed that they fall asleep during the treatment. Once we have completed the removal, we will cleanse again and apply a protective balm and an SPF cream.
